My name is Jeff, and I’m the artist behind Cincy Chalk Guy.
I started chalking in 2019 as a way to spend more time outside with my kids. At first, it was simply something fun for us to do together as a family, but I used each drawing as a chance to challenge myself, try new ideas, and improve at the medium.
In 2023, I began making short-form videos of my chalk art under the Cincy Chalk Guy handle. I enjoy creating family-friendly content that is highly edited, entertaining, and fun for all ages. What began as a hobby on the sidewalk has grown into opportunities to create artwork for businesses, families, festivals, and special events throughout the Cincinnati area.
When I’m not drawing with chalk, I work professionally as a medical artist for a local hospital since 2009. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Effects from the Savannah College of Art and Design and have spent my career working in animation, illustration, video editing, 3D modeling, and visual storytelling.
A lot of that experience naturally carries over into my chalk art. I bring the same creativity, attention to detail, and professionalism to every project.
It’s been exciting to see something that started in my driveway grow into so much more, and I’m always looking forward to the next idea.
